Melt Down!!! Semi Truck Fire!! Driver Walks Away

In this episode, the crew tackles an arduous task.....a total meltdown.... of a semi tractor burns into the ground, quite literally, on the shoulder of the interstate. The fire crews got there in time to save the trailer, and, to our knowledge, the load, but the truck melted into the asphalt and concrete. This was quite the undertaking, thankfully, not needing an undertaker, as the driver walked away uninjured. My son, Ethan, gets to work with me on this one. We bring along our Peterbilt 389X, #11, with Miller Industries Century 1150R rotator towing and recovery unit, our Peterbilt 579 road tractor #17 with our Trail-Eze TE801 ramp ( tilt, super tilt, float) trailer, one of our rollbacks (tilt tray), our traffic control unit #16 and a lot of muscle ( arm strong) labor...and we needed every bit of it and more. Please, before anybody comments, yes we needed and attempted to get ahold of a skid steer ( tracked loader) to assist with this job, but, unfortunately, our normal contact was unavailable at that time of night/morning.
