Bombing Volcanoes; A Surprisingly Good Idea!

Bombing a volcano in an attempt to divert a lava flow sounds like a horrible idea. However, this very concept has been successfully implemented in the past, leading to the saving of several towns. This video covers two instances of success; bombing a volcano to divert the movement of lava on both Mauna Loa and Mount Etna. This method does not always work, but can be quite effective.
