Persons having gastritis it is a more common thing now, with the high pressure life, with the stress and tension of work and life and making a balance between them is something that is giving rise to gastritis. One of the features of gastritis sis there can be reverse flow of acids to the esophagus rather than to the duodenum or the stomach. So here if there is a reflux of acids. One has the acids rising up the esophagus and this can be a cause for recurring sore throats. People who have recurring burps, they have acid coming up and causing irritation of the upper throat. As a result of that they can have sore throat. Sometimes even cough, sometimes even change in voice. Difficulty in swallowing except for no other symptoms other than gastritis and gastric reflux is one of the common features one can come across. So recurring improperly treated gastritis is one of the major cause of acid reflux and the cause of recurring sore throats and cough.
