Ensuring water security for Banaskantha

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Tharad in Banaskantha. During a public programme, work on water supply projects worth over Rs. 8000 crore were started. Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of several projects, including the Kasara to Dantiwada Pipeline from the main Narmada Canal, costing over Rs. 1560 crores. The project will augment water supply and prove beneficial for farmers of the region as well. Announcement of several projects were also done during the programme, including strengthening of Sujlam Suflam Canal, extension of Modhera-Moti Dau pipeline to Mukteshwar Dam-Karmavat Lake, lift irrigation scheme for 11 villages of Santalpur Taluka, among others.
